750mm Vanity Layouts Compared
A 750mm vanity comes in five main layouts: all-drawer wall hung, wall hung with a door and drawers, freestanding on legs or a plinth, semi-recessed freestanding, and 360mm-deep slimline. Each suits a different plumbing position and storage habit, so start with the layout, then pick the finish.
| Layout | Best for | Trade-off | What it needs | Models to compare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All-drawer wall hung | Keeping small items sorted; a clear floor | The top drawer is shaped or notched around the waste on some models | A waste pipe that comes out of the wall; noggings in the wall frame | Riva, Fremantle, Hamilton, Ridgewood |
| Wall hung with door and drawers | Tall bottles behind the door, small items in the drawers | Less drawer space than all-drawer | A waste pipe that comes out of the wall; noggings in the wall frame | Camden, Chester, Polar |
| Freestanding on legs or a plinth | Waste pipes that come up through the floor | The base takes up floor space | A level floor | Harrington, Brighton, Rhea, Noah 750mm freestanding |
| Semi-recessed freestanding | A basin that sits partly in front of the cabinet | Doors only, no drawers, on the current model | Room in front of the cabinet for the basin edge | Semi-Recessed 750mm two-door vanity |
| 750x360mm slimline | A tight walkway or a narrow ensuite | A smaller basin and less bench space | A compact basin top | Polar 750x360mm freestanding, Revive 750x360mm, Camden and Eden slimline |
How to Measure for a 750mm Vanity
A 750mm vanity needs a clear stretch of wall a little wider than the cabinet, and its depth matters as much as its width. In this collection, standard cabinets are about 450–470mm deep, slimline cabinets are 360–365mm deep, and a few models run 485–500mm deep for a larger basin or bench.
- Width: measure the wall from tile to tile, then compare it with the cabinet and top width on the listing.
- Depth: measure from the wall to the edge of the walkway. If the room is tight, compare our ensuite and slimline vanities.
- Height: wall hung cabinets in this collection are about 390–580mm tall, and you set the fixing height. A lower height works well in a children's bathroom.
- Waste position: note whether the waste comes out of the wall or the floor, and on which side.
- Taps: decide between a bench-mounted mixer and a wall-mounted tap before you choose the top.
- Door swing: check the bathroom door and shower door clear the cabinet front and its drawers.
If 750mm is too wide for the wall, compare 600mm vanities.
Wall Hung or Freestanding 750mm Vanity
A wall hung 750mm vanity leaves the floor clear and lets you choose its height. A freestanding 750mm vanity stands on legs or a plinth and suits a waste pipe that comes up through the floor. Choose by where your plumbing sits first, and by the look you want second.
A wall hung 750mm vanity is screwed to the wall frame, not to the plasterboard alone. In a stud wall, that means timber noggings behind the sheeting at the fixing height, so plan them before the wall is sheeted. Browse all wall hung vanities for more sizes in the same styles.
A freestanding 750mm vanity comes with different bases. Polar ships on legs, with a kickboard sold separately. Harrington lets you choose a kickboard or legs. Rhea sits on a full base that hides floor plumbing, and Bella sits on a recessed plinth. See all freestanding vanities to compare bases.
- If your waste comes out of the wall and you want a clear floor, choose a wall hung 750mm vanity.
- If your waste comes up through the floor, choose a freestanding 750mm vanity on a plinth or kickboard.
- If the walkway is tight, choose a 750x360mm slimline model.
- If you want a basin that sits partly in front of the cabinet, choose one of our semi-recessed vanities.
- If the bathroom is for children, choose a wall hung model and fix it lower.
Drawers, Doors and Drawer Side on a 750mm Vanity
A 750mm vanity with all drawers keeps small items sorted, while a door-and-drawer layout fits tall bottles behind the door. On several models you also choose whether the drawers sit on the left or the right, and that choice decides how much drawer space you keep.
Put the drawers on the side away from the waste and trap. They then stay full depth instead of being cut around the pipe. Camden and Noah offer left-hand or right-hand drawers as an option, and Brighton, Brindabella and Rita let you pick the side at checkout. On Rita, you can also pick the side that keeps the drawers clear of the door swing.
All-drawer models handle the waste in different ways. The Brighton 750mm keeps both drawers full depth when they sit away from the plumbing. Revive uses a U-shaped top drawer that clears the waste pipe. Bella notches its lower drawer around the basin waste. Compare more layouts in our drawer vanities.
750mm Vanity Tops, Basins and Tap Holes
A 750mm vanity is sold either with a top included or as a cabinet only, with the top added as an option. On listings marked "Top Optional", the price shown is usually for the cabinet, so check the options before you compare prices.
- Ceramic tops have an integrated basin, usually with 1 or 3 tap holes. On Noah and Midnight Marble models, a no-tap-hole top is available only as the Monaco acrylic top.
- Stone tops are made to order in about 3–5 days and cut to your basin and tap position, so they are not refundable. On Artis and Rome models, the tap hole can sit at 12, 2 or 10 o'clock.
- Solid surface tops are offered on models such as Fremantle, Ridgewood and Artis-S.
- Waste and tapware are not included. Most models need a 32mm pop-up waste, and the listing says whether it needs an overflow. Choose a mixer from our basin mixers.
750mm Vanity Materials: PVC, Plywood, MDF and Stainless Steel
A 750mm vanity cabinet in this collection is made from one of four materials: PVC, plywood, MDF or stainless steel. The material changes how the cabinet handles water and steam, so read the material line on each listing before you choose a finish.
- PVC: the board is waterproof, so splashes and steam do not swell it. Riva, Polar, Fremantle, Hamilton and Chester use PVC. See all waterproof vanities.
- Plywood: Ridgewood, Gladstone, Ravello and Scandinavia use moisture-resistant or water-resistant plywood with a timber-look finish. Compare more timber vanities.
- MDF: Noah, Hera, Bella, Elva and Rhea use MDF. It resists splashes, and it swells only if water pools and is left on it.
- Stainless steel: Midnight Marble, Snowy Oak and TimberLux use a stainless steel cabinet with a marble-look or woodgrain finish.
Whatever the material, wipe the cabinet with a soft damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Warranty terms vary by model and are listed on each product page.
Matching a 750mm Vanity with a 750mm Shaving Cabinet
A 750mm vanity pairs with a 750mm shaving cabinet from the same series, so the colour, timber tone and front style match. Matching cabinets are available for Riva, Polar, Fremantle, Camden, Hera, Ridgewood and Stella Oak. For built-in lighting, compare our LED shaving cabinets.
