Brushed Gold Shower Screens

Warm without the hotel-lobby shine. The brushed texture takes the glare off, so it reads as soft gold rather than polished gold.

Brushed gold sits well with white, cream, travertine and timber. Against cool grey it can read yellow rather than warm, so compare the product photos with your tile before you order. For a deeper tone, see brushed brass shower screens, the darker of the two warm finishes.

The range covers corner shower screens, wall to wall shower screens, fixed panel and walk-in screens and a bath shower screen panel.

Every screen here can be collected free in Sydney, and about two thirds can also be collected free in Brisbane (Rocklea). Free metro delivery applies in Sydney on orders over $2,000. Not sure of your measurements? Call our renovation expert team on 0480 746 325 before you order.

How Much Gold Shows on a Brushed Gold Shower Screen

A brushed gold shower screen shows the most gold when it is semi frameless, because the aluminium frame runs along the walls and outlines the whole shower. A frameless screen keeps the gold to a few parts: the hinges and handle on a pivot door, or the top rail and fittings on a slider.

  • On a semi frameless screen the gold frame is the feature, which suits a bathroom built around warm metal. Compare the layouts in semi frameless shower screens.
  • On a BH frameless pivot screen the gold appears at three points: the top channel, the hinges and the handle.
  • On a Covey frameless slider the gold top rail runs the full width of the screen, so it reads as one long line of gold. See frameless shower screens for the same layouts in other finishes.
  • On the fixed panels and the bath panel, the gold is limited to small brackets and fittings.

Which Brushed Gold Shower Screen Fits Your Bathroom?

  • If you want gold to frame the whole shower, choose a semi frameless model.
  • If you want only a touch of gold, choose a frameless pivot screen or a fixed panel.
  • If a vanity or toilet sits close to the shower, choose a sliding model so no door swings into the room.
  • If your recess is wider than 2000mm, choose the brushed gold 3 panel slider so you step in through the middle.
  • If you step into a small ensuite at the corner, choose the semi frameless corner entry screen.
  • If you shower over a bath, choose the frameless bath panel, which fits on either side.
  • If you want an open walk-in shower with a softer outline, choose the arched fixed panel.

Matching a Brushed Gold Shower Screen Across the Bathroom

A brushed gold shower screen looks best when the mixer, shower and accessories share the same light gold tone. Gold tones can differ between brands, so buying them from one brand gives the closest match.

Brushed Gold Shower Screens FAQs

Which parts of a brushed gold shower screen are gold?

It depends on the style. On the semi frameless screens here, the aluminium frame and wall channels are a light brushed gold around clear 6mm glass. The Covey frameless sliders use brushed gold #304 stainless steel fittings and a stainless steel top rail, with no frame around the 10mm glass. On the BH frameless pivot screens, every hinge, handle and wall channel is brushed gold. We sell each screen as a complete set, and the gold hardware is not sold on its own. Compare semi frameless and frameless shower screens to choose how much gold shows.

What is the difference between brushed gold and brushed brass?

Brushed gold is the lighter of the two warm finishes. The listings here describe it as a light gold, closer to champagne than brass, and brushed brass is the deeper, darker tone. A brushed gold shower screen adds warmth to white, terrazzo or pale timber-look tiles without taking over the room. For a darker metal with more contrast, compare our brushed brass shower screens. Shower screens cannot be viewed in person, so check the product photos against your tiles and tapware, or call our renovation expert team on 0480 746 325 before you order.

Do brushed gold shower screens tarnish or fade?

Like any shower screen, a brushed gold shower screen shows normal wear over time. The listings say scourers, bleach and solvent cleaners can dull the finish, so clean it with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Squeegee the glass after each shower and run the exhaust fan to limit water spots and mineral build-up on the frame and fittings. The Covey arched panel has a PVD finish, and the BH bath panel uses electroplated brass fittings. Damage from harsh cleaning is outside the warranty, and the warranty for each model is listed on its product page.

Will a brushed gold shower screen match my gold tapware?

The Covey listings on this page say their brushed gold screens pair with brushed gold tapware, because the finish is a light gold and not a deep brass. For a closer match, choose the screen, mixer and shower head together and compare the product photos side by side. Browse brushed gold tapware for mixers and brushed gold shower heads and rails for the shower. If your tapware is a darker brass, a brushed brass screen might sit closer to it. Free metro delivery applies in Sydney on orders over $2,000.

Which brushed gold shower screen layout suits my shower?

Start with the shape of your shower. For a recess between two walls, choose a wall to wall shower screen: pivot doors fit about 800 to 1250mm, sliders fit up to 2000mm, and the 3 panel slider fits 2000 to 2530mm. For a corner, corner shower screens pair a door with a return panel, and the corner entry sliding screen opens at the front corner. An open walk-in shower takes a fixed panel, and the bath shower screen panel is 700 x 1450mm.
