900mm Shaving Cabinets

At 900mm a shaving cabinet stops being a small mirror with a cupboard behind it and becomes real storage, wide enough that two people are not reaching across each other and deep enough to take full size bottles. Our 900mm range covers PVC waterproof, timber look oak and plywood, in two and three door layouts, with and without LED. Pair it with a 900mm vanity, compare 750mm shaving cabinets if the wall is tight, or see every lit model in LED shaving cabinets and the full range of shaving cabinets.

900mm Shaving Cabinet FAQs

▸ Will a 900mm shaving cabinet fit above a 900mm vanity?

Yes, and that is the match it is designed for. Before you order, check two things on the wall rather than on the vanity: that there is a full 900mm of clear wall with nothing projecting into it, and that the cabinet will not foul a wall mounted mixer, a shower screen return or the door swing. A 900mm cabinet also works above a 1200mm vanity if you centre it on a single basin and leave open wall either side, which is a common look and avoids a cabinet that dominates the room.

▸ Are LED shaving cabinets worth the extra cost?

They are if the room has no window or only a single ceiling downlight, because light coming from above throws shadows straight onto your face, which is exactly where you do not want them when shaving or putting on make up. An LED cabinet puts light at face height instead. If your bathroom already has good side lighting or a wall light beside the mirror, the LED version buys you less. Our LED models use touch switching, and the dimmable and colour change features vary by model.

▸ Do you need an electrician to install an LED shaving cabinet?

Yes. Our LED cabinets are hardwired rather than plugged in, and in Australia any fixed wiring in a bathroom has to be done by a licensed electrician, who will also confirm the fitting is suitable for the zone it is installed in. Plan this early, because the cable needs to come out of the wall behind the cabinet. That means the electrician should be on site before the wall is lined, or you will be chasing the wall afterwards.

▸ What does copper free mirror mean, and does it matter?

A conventional mirror has a silver layer protected by a copper layer and paint. Copper free mirrors replace that copper layer, which is the part that corrodes first in a humid room and causes the black speckling that creeps in from the edges of an old bathroom mirror. In a bathroom, where the mirror lives in steam, that is a genuine durability difference rather than a marketing line. Several of our ranges, including Riva, Eden Artis and the Stella Oak models, are copper free, and it is stated on those product pages.

▸ Should I choose a two door or three door 900mm cabinet?

Two doors give you wider, taller openings and fewer vertical lines across the mirror, which generally looks calmer. Three doors give you narrower doors that need less swing clearance, which matters if the cabinet sits next to a return wall or a shower screen, and they divide the interior into thirds, which some people find easier to keep organised. At 900mm both layouts are available in our range, so it is a practical decision about clearance more than anything else.

FAQ

Can I see the products in person before I buy?

Yes, if you're in Sydney. We hold stock across four warehouses – Greenacre, Villawood, Silverwater and Revesby. Call 0480 746 325 with the models you're interested in and we'll arrange a viewing at the warehouse that has them. Viewing and pickup are by appointment only; we don't run a walk-in showroom.

How can I trust the quality if I can't see the products in person?

We understand that "touch and feel" is missed when buying online, so we compensate with Information and Assurance.

  • High-Res Imagery: We provide detailed, high-resolution photos from multiple angles, including close-ups of finishes (like Brushed Gold or Matte Black).
  • Detailed Specs: Every product page features downloadable Technical Drawings and Spec Sheets, so your plumber knows exactly what they are working with.
  • Australian Standards: All our products are rigorously tested. Our tapware and toilets are WaterMark Certified and WELS Rated to meet strict Australian plumbing laws. If it's not compliant, we don't sell it.
Do you offer trade discounts or bulk quotes for whole-house renovations?

Absolutely. We love working with Renovators, Builders, and DIYers doing a full overhaul.

  • Bundle & Save: If you are buying a "Whole House" package (e.g., Vanity + Toilet + Bath + Tapware + Accessories), contact our sales team for a Custom Package Quote.
