Grey Vanities

Grey is the neutral most Australian bathrooms skip, and the one that asks least of the rest of the room: softer than black, warmer than white, quiet enough that a patterned tile or a timber mirror becomes the feature. Every cabinet here is the same mid-tone matte grey, wall hung, and built from waterproof PVC, in 600mm to 1500mm widths with single or double bowl layouts above 1200mm. All three ranges carry the panelled fronts of our Hampton shaker vanities, two of them as drawer vanities, and all belong in our waterproof vanities range. Grey takes gunmetal tapware better than white does; to stay pale, compare matte white vanities. Trade prices, Free Metro Shipping on qualifying orders.

Grey Vanity FAQs

▸ Are grey bathroom vanities still in style?

Grey fell out of favour as a wall colour, not as cabinetry, and what dated was the cool blue-grey paired with white gloss tile around 2015. The cabinets on this page are a mid-tone matte grey with a little warmth in it, which is why they read as a decision rather than a builder's default. A vanity is also the element you are least likely to regret: the tiles, tapware and mirror around it carry the era, so a neutral cabinet lets you change the look later without replacing the biggest piece of joinery in the room.

▸ What tapware and benchtop colours go with a grey vanity?

Pick a temperature and stay with it. Brushed gold or brushed copper warms a grey cabinet so it does not read cold, and Chester lets you choose the knob finish at checkout. For a monochrome room, gunmetal tapware sits closest to the cabinet, with matte black as the sharper option. On top, a Carrara or Calacatta stone with soft grey veining ties back into the cabinet, while plain white solid surface gives you contrast instead. An above counter basin in matte white lifts the whole run.

▸ Is this a light grey or a dark grey, and do you stock gloss grey?

There is one shade across all three ranges: a mid-tone matte grey, slightly warm, which Lukka calls Power Grey. It is not a pale dove or pearl grey, and it is not charcoal. We do not currently stock a gloss grey or a grey freestanding vanity, so if you need either, the closest options are in our waterproof vanities range. Matte finishes photograph lighter under studio lights than they look on a wall, so ask us for a real photo before you commit if the shade has to match existing joinery.

▸ What size grey vanity should I choose, and single or double bowl?

Widths are 600mm, 750mm, 900mm, 1200mm and 1500mm, all of them 450 to 455mm deep. Below 900mm you get a single bowl, which suits a powder room or a compact ensuite. At 1200mm and 1500mm you choose between single and double bowl, and a second bowl is only worth it if two people genuinely use the basin at once, because two bowls take away the useful bench space in the middle. Cabinet heights differ by range, so check the listing before you set out the wall.

▸ Chester, Hamilton or Fremantle - which grey range should I pick?

Chester has arched Federation door panels with round knob handles and a 470mm-high cabinet, so storage is cupboard space behind doors and the trap sits clear in the centre. Hamilton and Fremantle are all-drawer with recessed shaker fronts and no handles at all, opening on a finger pull along the drawer edge; Hamilton is 500mm high and Fremantle 580mm, which gives Fremantle the deepest drawers. Compare them against our other drawer vanities. Parts warranty is 5 or 10 years depending on the range, listed on each product page.

FAQ

Can I see the products in person before I buy?

Yes, if you're in Sydney. We hold stock across four warehouses – Greenacre, Villawood, Silverwater and Revesby. Call 0480 746 325 with the models you're interested in and we'll arrange a viewing at the warehouse that has them. Viewing and pickup are by appointment only; we don't run a walk-in showroom.
