Size the cabinet to the basin rather than to the room. A 400mm cabinet lines up with a 400mm vanity, and a 450mm cabinet with a 450mm unit, so both edges finish together. Either also works over a 500mm or 600mm vanity when a window, shower screen or door frame squeezes the wall, provided the margin on each side looks even. In a tight room, an LED cabinet can replace a separate light above the mirror and free up wall space. Five cabinets here have one. The Olivia pill oval LED, in matte white or matte black, has dimmable 6000K light with touch control. The three Athena models use 6500K light switched by a sensor on the mirror. The Olivia pill and oval cabinets and all three Athena models have a single mirrored door, so the swing side matters on a narrow wall. The plain Olivia pill and oval cabinets come hinged on the right, and they can be mounted upside down so the door opens from the left instead. On the Athena models the door opens to one side, so settle that before the electrician positions the power point. Either way, check the open door will clear a shower screen, window reveal or towel rail beside the basin before you fix the cabinet.

Check height before width, because it changes far more across this range. The Hera cabinets are the shortest at 700mm, which helps the top edge sit below a bulkhead or a window sill. Polar is 750mm and the Athena arch is 800mm. The Olivia and Athena pill, oval, rectangle and square curved models are 900mm tall, giving a fuller reflection but needing more clear wall. Measure from the benchtop up to the lowest obstruction, then subtract the gap you want above the taps. That figure is the tallest cabinet your wall can take.
