1400mm Baths FAQs
Is a 1400 bath too small?
Not for most adults. At 1400mm you sit with your knees bent rather than fully stretched, which many people prefer for reading or soaking. It is a common choice when a bath, a shower and a vanity have to share one wall. If you are tall and want to lie back, a 1500mm or 1700mm bath will feel better. If the room is tight, 1400mm is the point where comfort and footprint balance.
What is the difference between a 1400 back to wall bath and a corner bath?
A back to wall bath has one flat side that sits against a wall and three finished sides, so it suits the middle of a wall with space either end. A corner bath has two flat sides and tucks into a corner, so it needs no finishing on those two edges. At 1400mm we stock both: the Elivia and Musen as back to wall, and the Casey, Nova, Bingie and Clayton as corner baths. The room decides which one you need.
Do you have a 1400mm bath with an overflow?
Yes. The Nova 1400mm corner baths and the Musen 1400mm back to wall bath are listed with an overflow, and the Bingie 1400mm corner bath is available with or without one. An overflow lets you fill the bath without watching it, which matters if the tub is also used by children. The Casey 1400mm corner baths come in 520mm and 580mm heights, so check the listing for the overflow detail on the height you pick.
Which 1400mm bath is freestanding?
The Olivia oval is the freestanding bath at this length. It is listed with 1400mm, 1500mm, 1600mm and 1700mm options on the one product page in gloss white, and 1400mm, 1500mm and 1700mm in matte white. The Iseo Ultra Slim oval and pill shape also includes 1400mm. Both stand clear of the wall, so you will need a floor-mounted mixer or a wall spout rather than a deck-mounted tap. See the freestanding bath mixer range for matching options.
Can a 1400mm corner bath be flipped from left to right?
No. The skirt and the shape are moulded for one orientation, so you must order the left hand or right hand version to match your room. Face the corner where the bath will sit: if the long edge runs along the wall on your left, order left hand. Every 1400mm corner bath we stock is available in both versions, so pick the model first, then the hand. The product listing shows the footprint for each.
