The Timber Look Camden 600x360mm Ensuite Slimline Wall Hung Vanity in Prime Oak is a wall-mounted bathroom vanity with two soft-close doors, supplied as a cabinet only — the ceramic or stone top and basin are chosen separately.
At 360mm deep it is built for the rooms a standard vanity does not fit: ensuites, powder rooms, second bathrooms and narrow renovations. The carcass is E0-grade MDF wrapped in a thermoformed wood-grain PVC film, edges included, with soft-close hardware throughout and a recessed finger pull instead of handles. Two equal 294mm doors open onto one full-width bay. Cabinet body 600mm wide x 360mm deep x 500mm high, hung clear of the floor.
Prime Oak in a 600mm Ensuite — Warmth Without the Weight
Prime Oak is the warmer Camden finish: a mid-toned honey oak with a more visible grain and a hint of amber to it. It is the one to pick when the ensuite is otherwise all hard surfaces — white subway tile, a glass screen, a white toilet pan — and the room feels a little cold. One 600mm timber cabinet is often the only warm object in the space, and Prime Oak carries that job better than a pale finish does.
The trade-off in a small room is depth of tone, and this is where wall hanging earns its keep. A mid-tone timber cabinet sitting on the floor can feel heavy in a 1.6m-wide ensuite; lift it 200–300mm off the tiles and the same cabinet reads as a floating shelf instead of a block of furniture. You get the warmth of the timber without the visual bulk.
Prime Oak also hides the things a busy ensuite does to a vanity. The stronger grain pattern disguises water spotting and toothpaste splatter between wipes far better than a flat pale finish — useful on the one cabinet in the house that gets used in a hurry every morning.
Key Features of the Camden Prime Oak 600mm Wall Hung Vanity
- 2 soft-close doors (no drawers): Everything damped — no bang from an ensuite that backs onto a bedroom.
- 360mm slimline cabinet depth: A full 600mm of bench length while keeping roughly 100mm more walkway than a standard-depth vanity.
- Wall hung, floor left clear: Mop straight underneath, no kickboard line collecting dust, and the tiled floor reads as continuous — the single biggest visual gain in a small room.
- Handleless finger pull: A flush front with nothing protruding to catch a towel or a dressing gown in a narrow space.
- Prime Oak wood-grain PVC film: Thermoformed over E0-grade MDF and wrapped around every edge, so there is no exposed board and the surface wipes clean.
- Cabinet only: Match it to an integrated ceramic top or a Pure White stone top with an above-counter basin — you are not paying for a top you did not choose.
Ceramic and Stone Top Options for the Camden 600mm Wall Hung Vanity
- Integrated ceramic top (610 x 365 x 165mm): A one-piece slim-edge ceramic top and basin sized to the 360mm depth — a 185mm deep bowl with moulded ledges either side and no silicone joint to discolour. Single 35mm tap hole, 45mm waste. See the dimension drawing in the gallery.
- Zero silica stone top with above-counter basin: A 20mm engineered stone top in Pure White — the only stone colour offered on the Camden range — meeting Australian zero-silica requirements, with a vessel basin sitting proud of the surface.
- Basin and tapware limits on a 360mm top: An above-counter basin must be 300mm deep or less. That leaves roughly 60mm of surface behind the bowl — not enough for a 12 o’clock tap hole — so specify wall-mounted tapware, or have the tap hole drilled at the 10 o’clock or 2 o’clock position.
Matching Camden Pencil Edge Shaving Cabinet in Prime Oak
The Camden Pencil Edge shaving cabinet is finished in the same Prime Oak wood-grain PVC film from the same range, so the two match rather than nearly match — worth knowing, because timber-look finishes from different series almost never do. At only 150mm deep it does not crowd the space over a slimline vanity, and it carries a silver-coated copper-free mirror with adjustable glass shelves behind it. The 600mm Camden shaving cabinet in Prime Oak lines up with this vanity; the next size up is also worth considering if you want the mirror to read wider than the cabinet below it.

Camden 600mm Wall Hung Vanity — Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does the wall need to hold a wall hung vanity?
A: A wall hung cabinet transfers its whole load plus the top, the basin and the water in it into the wall, so it has to fix into structure — timber noggins between the studs, or the appropriate fixing for a masonry or steel-framed wall. In a new build or a full renovation that is set at framing stage, which is why it pays to decide on a wall hung vanity before the wall is sheeted. On an existing wall your installer will need to locate or add noggins at the right height. Confirm the fixing method with your licensed installer — installation by a licensed tradesperson is a warranty condition.
Q: How high should I hang it?
A: The cabinet body is 500mm high, and the finished top surface is what you actually set. Most Australian installers land the finished top somewhere between 800mm and 900mm off the floor, which puts the underside of a Camden roughly 250–350mm clear of the tiles. Lower is more comfortable for children, higher gives you more visible floor and an easier mop-through. Set the height with your installer before the wall is fixed off — it is not adjustable afterwards.
Q: There are no drawers — how is the inside laid out?
A: The 600mm Camden is a two-door cabinet: two equal 294mm doors opening onto a single full-width bay with the full internal height clear. That is deliberate at this width. Splitting 590mm into a drawer stack plus a door bay leaves both too narrow to be useful, and it means the bottle trap can sit anywhere across the width instead of dictating which side you order. See the dimension drawing in the gallery for internal sizes.
Q: Why can’t I put the tap behind the basin?
A: Because the top is only 360mm deep. Once a 300mm deep above-counter basin is on it, roughly 60mm of surface is left at the back — not enough to mount a mixer and still get the spout over the bowl. The two workable answers are wall-mounted tapware, or a tap hole drilled at 10 o’clock or 2 o’clock so the mixer sits beside the basin rather than behind it. An integrated ceramic top avoids the question entirely.
Q: What stone colours can I choose?
A: Pure White only. There is no Carrara or veined marble-look stone in the Camden range. Against the warmer honey Prime Oak grain, Pure White keeps the unit to a single timber pattern rather than introducing a second one.
Q: Will the MDF swell in a humid bathroom?
A: The carcass is fully wrapped in thermoformed PVC film with no exposed edges, so ambient steam has nothing to soak into. What actually damages bathroom cabinetry is standing water — a weeping trap, or water tracking off a shower screen. Keep the cabinet wiped dry, ventilate the room, and note that water damage sits outside the warranty. This is a moisture-resistant cabinet, not a waterproof one.
Q: What is delivery to Sydney or regional NSW?
A: Sydney ships free on orders over $2,000, and free warehouse pickup in Sydney is available on every order regardless of value — worth knowing if you are local and only buying the one cabinet. Regional NSW — Newcastle, the Central Coast, Wollongong, Bathurst, Wagga Wagga, Dubbo, Coffs Harbour and Byron — is calculated at checkout by weight and postcode. Newcastle and Wollongong sit close enough to the metro zone that the regional rate is usually modest.
