The Fremantle 1200mm Double Bowl Matte Black Hampton Shaker Wall Hung Vanity is a 1190mm wide, 455mm deep wall hung cabinet in 100% waterproof PVC, supplied cabinet-only with the option to add a stone, solid surface or ceramic top when you order.

Matte Black turns the vanity into the feature of the room. It reads as a deep, flat charcoal-black rather than a gloss finish, so it hides marks better than you expect and works best against pale tiles with brushed gold, brushed brass or chrome tapware. Raised shaker panels on every drawer front give the Fremantle its Hampton character, and the handle-free finger pull keeps that panel detail unbroken – no handles to catch a towel, and nothing extra to clean around.

Behind the shaker fronts it is all drawers – 4 soft-close drawers (double bowl) on soft-close runners – so this is a bathroom vanity with drawers rather than a cupboard with a shelf. It is backed by a 5-year replacement parts warranty.

Two Basins at 1200mm: When the Second Bowl Matters More Than Bench

If the morning rush is the problem rather than storage, the double bowl version puts two basins in the same 1200mm run. You give up the centre bench, but two people can brush their teeth at the same time without taking turns. The four soft-close drawers underneath are notched around both wastes, so you keep usable drawer space on each side rather than losing the whole bottom row.

Key Features of the Fremantle Matte Black Vanity

• Storage layout: 4 Soft-Close Drawers (Double Bowl) – every front is a drawer, no doors to reach around.
• Hampton shaker fronts: raised panel detail on each drawer, finished in Matte Black.
• Handle-free finger-pull: no handles to catch sleeves or towels, and nothing extra to clean around.
• 100% waterproof PVC: the cabinet will not swell or blow out if water sits on it, which is why PVC is the safest choice for a family bathroom or a laundry.
• Wall hung: the floor runs clear underneath, which makes the room feel bigger and lets you mop straight through. Fixing into solid framing is required.
• Soft-close runners: drawers pull out smoothly and close themselves the last few centimetres.
• Top options: stone, solid surface or ceramic tops available in the options above.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Fremantle 1200mm Vanity

Q: Does a wall hung vanity need special wall framing?
A: Yes. A wall hung cabinet transfers all of its weight, plus the stone top and basin, into the wall, so it must be fixed into timber noggins or steel framing – not into plasterboard alone. If you are retrofitting over an existing wall, ask your plumber or builder to confirm there is solid backing at the fixing height before you order.

Q: Can I put a single bowl top on the double bowl cabinet?
A: No – order the single bowl version instead. The drawer boxes are notched for two wastes on this model, and the single bowl cabinet is notched for one in the centre, so the cabinet and the top need to match.

Q: Is PVC better than a timber or board vanity in a bathroom?
A: For water, yes. PVC does not have a timber or particleboard core, so standing water and steam cannot swell it from the inside – which is where most bathroom vanities fail. It also means the Fremantle is safe in a laundry or an ensuite with poor ventilation.

Q: Do you deliver to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and other cities?
A: Yes. We offer FREE shipping to metro areas on orders over these amounts:
Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra: over $2,000.
Brisbane and Adelaide: over $2,500.
Perth: over $3,200.
Regional areas: shipping is calculated at checkout by weight and postcode. Free pick-up is also available from Sydney.
