The Harold 1200mm Double Bowl Hampton Shaker Freestanding Vanity is a matte white, fully waterproof PVC cabinet (1190 × 455 × 860mm) with a centre bank of soft-close drawers and a cupboard under each basin. It is sold as the cabinet only, ready for a 40mm undermount sintered stone top with twin basins, a double above-counter stone top or a Noah double ceramic top.

1200mm is the narrowest width that still fits two basins side by side, which makes this the go-to double vanity for a shared ensuite or a family bathroom that can't take a 1500mm unit. The recessed shaker doors and drawers give it a classic Hamptons look, and the matte white finish pairs easily with brushed nickel, brushed gold, matte black or gun metal tapware.

Two Basins in 1200mm – What to Expect

With twin basins on a 1200mm bench, each person gets their own basin and mixer, so two people can get ready at the same time without queuing. The trade-off is bench space: there is less room between and beside the basins than on a single-bowl 1200mm vanity, so plan for a shaving cabinet or wall shelf for everyday items. Each basin needs its own mixer and pop-up waste, and the plumbing runs to the two outer cupboards while the centre drawers stay clear for storage.

Key Features of the Harold Double Vanity

• Waterproof PVC cabinet: the board is water-resistant right through, not just surface-coated, so it handles steam and splashes far better than MDF.
• Hampton shaker styling: recessed panel doors and drawers in a soft-touch matte white finish.
• Centre drawers, twin cupboards: drawers in the middle and a cupboard under each basin for the plumbing.
• Soft-close doors and drawers: quiet runners and hinges for everyday use.
• Legs or kickboard: keep it on legs for an airy furniture look or add a matching kickboard for a seamless floor line.
• Choice of handles: brushed nickel, matte black, brushed gold or gun metal to match your tapware.

Double Benchtop Options and Tap Hole Positions

• 40mm undermount sintered stone (double): a thick, marble-look slab with two basins fitted underneath. Tap holes: none or 12 o'clock above each basin.
• 20mm white stone or 12mm matte white solid surface (undermount double): a lighter, minimalist alternative. Tap holes: none or 12 o'clock.
• Above-counter stone or solid surface (double): pair with two vessel basins for a day-spa look. Tap holes: none, 10, 12 or 2 o'clock.
• Noah double ceramic top: an all-in-one vitreous china top with twin basins and one tap hole per basin.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Harold 1200mm Double Vanity

Q: Is 1200mm wide enough for a double vanity?
A: Yes – 1200mm is the standard minimum for two basins. It suits ensuites and family bathrooms where two people get ready at once. If you want more bench space between basins, look at a 1500mm double vanity.

Q: Does the price include the double benchtop and basins?
A: No. The listed price is for the cabinet only. Select a double undermount sintered stone, above-counter stone, solid surface or Noah double ceramic top from the options above and the price updates before checkout. You will also need two mixers and two pop-up wastes.

Q: Is the Harold vanity suitable for a steamy bathroom without an exhaust fan?
A: The PVC board does not absorb water the way MDF does, so it copes well with humidity. We still recommend good ventilation and wiping up standing water to protect the hinges, runners and finish.

Q: Do you deliver the Harold vanity to my area?
A: Yes. We deliver Australia-wide, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth, plus most regional areas. Shipping is calculated at checkout by postcode, with free metro delivery on orders over $2,000 in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, $2,500 in Brisbane and Adelaide, and $3,200 in Perth.
