The Brooklyn 1500mm Red Oak Fluted Wall Hung Vanity is a 1490mm wide, 455mm deep wall hung cabinet, supplied cabinet-only with the option to add a stone, solid surface or ceramic top when you order.

Red Oak is a warm, reddish-brown woodgrain that adds colour to a bathroom without going dark. It works well against white or off-white tiles and suits matte black, brushed gold and brushed brass tapware. Vertical fluted fronts run the full width of the cabinet and catch the light, giving the Brooklyn a textured, boutique-hotel look that flat doors cannot. Handle-free finger pulls keep the ribbed detail unbroken.

The cabinet is made from water-resistant plywood with a Red Oak woodgrain finish, configured as 4 Soft-Close Drawers (Double Bowl). It is backed by a 5-year replacement parts warranty.

Two Basins, Four Drawers: A Real Double Vanity

At 1490mm wide there is finally enough room for two basins that are far enough apart to use at the same time, which is the whole point of a double vanity. Four soft-close drawers run under the pair, so each person gets a side, and both wastes drop behind the drawer boxes rather than cutting through them. Hanging it on the wall keeps the floor clear under a cabinet this long, which matters in a room where two people move around each other.

Key Features of the Brooklyn Red Oak Wall Hung Vanity

• Storage layout: 4 Soft-Close Drawers (Double Bowl).
• Fluted fronts: vertical ribbing across the drawer faces adds texture and shadow that a flat door cannot.
• Handle-free finger-pull: no handles to catch sleeves or towels, and nothing extra to clean around.
• Wall hung: the floor runs clear underneath, which makes the room feel bigger and lets you mop straight through. Fixing into solid framing is required.
• Soft-close runners: drawers pull out smoothly and close themselves the last few centimetres.
• Water-resistant plywood: a stronger, more moisture-tolerant core than standard particleboard, finished in Red Oak woodgrain.
• Top options: stone, solid surface or ceramic tops available in the options above.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Brooklyn 1500mm Vanity

Q: Does a wall hung vanity need special wall framing?
A: Yes. A wall hung cabinet transfers all of its weight, plus the stone top and basin, into the wall, so it must be fixed into timber noggins or steel framing – not into plasterboard alone. If you are retrofitting over an existing wall, ask your plumber or builder to confirm there is solid backing at the fixing height before you order.

Q: Can two basins really be used at the same time at 1500mm?
A: Yes. At 1490mm the two basins sit far enough apart that two people are not reaching across each other, which is not the case on a 1200mm double top. Both wastes run behind the drawer boxes, so you keep the full depth of all four drawers.

Q: Is a plywood vanity suitable for a humid bathroom?
A: Water-resistant plywood handles steam and humidity better than standard particleboard. As with any timber-finish vanity, wipe up standing water promptly and keep the bathroom ventilated – damage from pooled water is not covered by warranty.

Q: Do you deliver to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and other cities?
A: Yes. We offer FREE shipping to metro areas on orders over these amounts:

Brisbane and Adelaide: over $2,500.
Perth: over $3,200.
