The carcass is waterproof PVC with no timber or particleboard core, so steam cannot swell it from the inside, and the doors open on a finger pull rather than a handle, which keeps the front face clean.

Why the 900mm Size Works

At 900mm wide and 750mm high this is a large piece of lit mirror, which is the point: it covers the wall above a 900mm vanity and gives two people room to stand at it without taking turns. Two wide doors mean fewer vertical lines across the glass than a three door cabinet.

Does this cabinet need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired rather than plugged in, and in Australia fixed wiring in a bathroom has to be done by a licensed electrician who will confirm the fitting suits the zone it is installed in. Plan it early: the cable comes out of the wall behind the cabinet, so the electrician should be on site before the wall is lined.

Is the light dimmable, and can I change the colour?

The light is dimmable from the touch control on the mirror, but it is a single colour temperature: 6000K cool white. If you want to switch between warm, neutral and cool, look at our three colour models instead, which are listed under LED shaving cabinets.

How does this differ from a standard 900mm shaving cabinet?

Two things. It is 750mm high rather than the usual 600mm, so you get a taller mirror and an extra shelf level in the same width of wall. And it has a second LED strip inside the cabinet, so the shelves are lit when you open the door rather than falling into shadow. Both show up in daily use more than the spec sheet suggests.

Can it be recessed into the wall?

No. This is a surface mounted cabinet, so it fixes onto the face of the wall and the full 155mm projects into the room. A recessed cabinet needs a cavity built into the framing before the wall is lined. Because this unit is 750mm high and carries glass doors, fix it into timber noggins or steel framing rather than into plasterboard alone.

Can I pick it up instead of paying freight?
