The pan sits flush against the wall with the pipework hidden behind it, so there are no exposed traps to clean around. Rimless tornado flushing sends water in a swirling pattern around a bowl with no hidden rim, and the easy height pan puts the seat at a comfortable sitting height for adults and older family members. ⚠️ Before You Order the Smart Bidet Seat Package — Check Your Water and Power Positions
Stand facing the toilet: the smart seat's water inlet is on the LEFT-hand side and its power cord exits on the RIGHT-hand side. The seat needs its own separate water supply line on the left — in addition to the cistern's water connection — and a power point (GPO) on the right, within reach of the seat's cord. Both need to be planned with your plumber and electrician at the rough-in stage, before the wall is tiled. A new power point near a toilet must be installed by a licensed electrician. Please confirm both positions before checking out.

Q: Does the smart bidet seat need electricity?
A: Yes. The SMBD01 is an electric bidet toilet seat — the heated seat, warm water and air dryer all run on mains power. You need a power point on the right-hand side of the toilet (facing it), within reach of the seat's cord. If there is no power point there yet, have a licensed electrician install one before the seat is fitted.

Q: Which side do the water and power connect on?
A: Standing in front of the toilet, the seat's water inlet is on the left and the power cord is on the right. The seat needs its own water line on the left, separate from the cistern supply, plus a power point on the right. Our annotated top-view photo shows both positions.

Q: Is this a toilet with the bidet built in?
A: No. It is a standard back to wall toilet suite with a smart bidet seat fitted on top, not a one-piece integrated smart toilet. You get the main bidet functions for less, and if the seat ever needs replacing it can be swapped without replacing the ceramic pan.

Q: Does the smart bidet seat need its own water connection?
A: Yes. The SMBD01 is not fed from the cistern — it needs a separate water supply line run to its inlet on the left-hand side, in addition to the cistern's own connection. Ask your plumber to run this line, and your electrician to fit the power point on the right, at the rough-in stage. That is why we recommend deciding on the smart seat package before your bathroom is built, rather than adding it after the wall is finished.

A: The supplied S-trap covers a 100–200mm set-out, measured from the wall to the centre of the floor waste. For other rough-ins, optional traps cover 60–140mm, 150–235mm and a 180mm P-trap.
