What does a 750mm wall hung vanity need to be fixed to?

Timber studs or noggings behind the plasterboard. A loaded 750mm cabinet with a stone top is heavy, so plasterboard anchors alone are not enough - if the wall has no noggings where you need them, ask your installer to add one before the sheeting goes up.

How high should I mount it?

Fixing the cabinet so the finished top lands between 850mm and 900mm suits most adults. Set it lower for a children's bathroom. Decide before tiling - the mounting line is hard to move afterwards.
