Alpha PVC Waterproof 450mm Slimline Freestanding Vanity on Legs | Gloss White | Small Bathroom Unit

The Alpha 450mm Slimline Freestanding Vanity on Legs in Gloss White is a freestanding, 255mm deep vanity supplied as a complete unit: the gloss white PVC cabinet plus the matching Solid Surface (Matte White) top with an integrated basin, single tap hole, overflow and 32mm waste. Nothing else to specify — it arrives ready for your plumber.

The Plain One, and Why That Is Sometimes the Right Answer

Not every small bathroom wants a texture. In a laundry corner, a granny flat, a rental turnaround or a second toilet that just needs a working basin, a flat gloss white front is easier to wipe down, easier to match to whatever is already in the room, and cheaper to replace in five years if the tenant is hard on it. The Alpha keeps the same 255mm depth and the same solid surface top as the fluted models — it simply leaves out the ribbing.

Key Features of the Alpha Gloss White Vanity

• Flat gloss white door: nothing to trap dust, wipes clean in one pass.
• Freestanding on adjustable legs: no wall fixing needed, levels on an uneven floor.
• 255mm deep: narrow enough for a laundry nook, a granny flat or a second toilet.
• PVC board cabinet: no MDF or particle board core behind the finish.
• Solid surface top included: matte white, integrated basin, overflow and 32mm waste.

The Solid Surface Top, Explained

Solid surface is a cast mineral-and-resin composite, not a glazed ceramic shell. The colour runs all the way through, and the basin and the bench are moulded as one seamless piece with no join around the bowl to collect grime. The bowl is shaped to suit a shallow cabinet, leaving the full height of the cupboard clear behind the trap. The tap hole is not centred. There is a single hole on the flat deck at one end of the top, 115mm in from the edge and beside the bowl. The top is not fixed down in the box, so you can turn it 180 degrees at installation to put the tap on the left or on the right, whichever suits your pipework and the side you want to stand.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Alpha 450mm Vanity

Q: Which side does the door open from?
A: The Alpha is supplied with a left hand hinge, so the door is hinged on the left and opens to the right. The hinge side is fixed on this model — check it against the swing of your bathroom door before ordering.

Q: Is this one fluted like the black and white Crete units?
A: No. The Alpha has a flat gloss white door with no ribbing. If you want the vertical fluted profile, look at the matte black or matte white 450mm cabinets in this range.

Q: Is it suitable for a bathroom that gets a lot of steam?
A: The cabinet is made from PVC board rather than MDF or particle board, so there is no timber core to swell if moisture reaches an edge or a screw hole. It handles the humidity of a shower room well. Standing water left against any cabinet will eventually cause damage, and water damage is not covered by the warranty.

Q: Do you deliver to my city?
A: Yes — we ship Australia wide. Free metro delivery applies on orders over $2,000 to Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, over $2,500 to Brisbane and Adelaide, and over $3,200 to Perth. Regional addresses receive a discounted rate, and Sydney customers are welcome to collect free of charge. Below those thresholds freight is calculated at checkout by weight and postcode.
