1500mm Baths FAQs
Is a 1500mm bath too small?
For most adults, no. At 1500mm you can lie back with your legs almost straight, and the tub still leaves room on a 1.8m wall for a spout and a step-in gap. It is the length we stock in the most models, and it fits a family bathroom without taking the whole wall. If you are tall, or two people will use the bath together, look at 1700mm. If the wall is under 1.6m, drop to 1400mm rather than squeezing a 1500mm in.
Should I choose 1500mm or 1700mm?
Measure the wall first, then subtract space for the spout and for getting in. If you have 1.8m or more and the bath is the main feature of the room, 1700mm gives a noticeable gain in leg room and water depth. If the bath shares the wall with a shower or vanity, 1500mm usually fits better and fills faster. Several models, including the Stella, Elivia, Bari, Capri and Ally, come in both lengths, so you can pick the style first and the size last.
Which 1500mm baths come in matte black?
Matte black is available in freestanding and back to wall shapes at this length. The Ellips Slim and the Ally fluted oval are freestanding matte black baths; the Stella oval comes in matte black and in a two-tone black outside with white inside. The Bari fluted back to wall bath and the Capri fluted corner bath are also made in matte black. A matte black bath pairs well with black tapware, and the two-tone version is the safer choice if you want a dark exterior but a bright, easy-to-clean interior.
What is a fluted bath and do you stock one at 1500mm?
A fluted bath has vertical grooves moulded into the outer surface, which gives the acrylic a ribbed, panelled look. At 1500mm we stock fluted versions of all three shapes: the Ally and Agena oval freestanding baths, the Bari and BH V-Groove back to wall baths, and the Capri, Binge and Rose corner baths. Because the fluting is on the outside, cleaning is the same as any smooth acrylic bath. The grooves show best when the bath sits in open space or in a corner lit from the side.
Is there a size between 1500mm and 1700mm?
Yes, two. The Olivia oval and the Iseo Ultra Slim oval are offered in 1600mm, and the Evie oval comes in 1660mm. These suit a wall that is a little over 1.7m, where a 1700mm bath would leave no gap. The 1600mm options are listed on the same product page as the 1500mm and 1700mm versions, so open the Olivia or Iseo listing and pick the length from the size menu rather than searching for a separate 1600mm product.
