Don't be concerned about storage in a wall hung vanity, they come with drawer and cupboard configurations that provide plenty of room for your cosmetics and appliances.

Floor standing or freestanding vanities are a great option if you are looking for a full height vanity or have floor plumbing to hide. Providing ample storage, the floor standing vanity also gives a clean modern finish from the end of the vanity, straight to the floor.

Make sure you measure wall-to-wall to make sure you are choosing a design that fits your space. Once you know your size restrictions, it's time to look at your options. Standard sizes include 400mm, 600mm, 750mm, 900mm, 1050mm, 1200mm, 1500mm and 1800mm.

• Solution B (The Compromise): You can build a small "bulkhead" or box underneath the vanity to hide the pipes, though this ruins the floating look slightly.
