Shower Screen FAQ’s
Do I need a plumber to replace my bathroom shower screen?
In most cases, Yes. Bathroom vanities are connected to plumbing systems for water supply and drainage.
It’s best to seek a professional’s help to ensure a seamless installation and prevent potential leaks or damage to your bathroom.
What size door I need for my space? How to Measure?
In order to a proper installation, It’s extremely important to order the correct size shower/tub door.
Measuring must be taken only AFTER walls are finished (tile, back walls, etc.).Check your walls if are plumb and your shower base/tub or flat surface shower floor is level. Plumb walls are not “a must” condition, but just a reference to select the correct door.
All of our enclosure models that have matching bases will as same as the corresponding base to allow for proper installation. For example, if you are looking at a 900x900mm enclosure, the corresponding base will be 900x900mm.
What is a pivot, sliding and a hinged shower screen?
A hinged screen is attached directly to the finished wall or a stationary glass and you can open it like an interior door in your house. The door hinge can be attached to a stationary glass panel or the wall of the shower surround. A hinged configuration needs clearance in the bathroom for the door to swing open.
A pivot door shower screens has two assembly to match to work: a pivot assembly and a wall profile system. The pivot assembly is attached to a wall profile system that is attached to your finished wall, then the pivot assembly attaches to the glass at the top and bottom much like a refrigerator door.
Sliding door shower screens are the ultimate space savers. With the doors sliding as opposed to opening inwards or outwards, this type of shower door saves plenty of space. They are a practical choice for bathrooms where space is limited.
What kind of frame options do you have?
The framed shower screen is designed with an aluminium frame that surrounds most panels of glass. They are strong and offer excellent longevity, especially for young families and homeowners on a budget.
Semi-frameless means there is an aluminium frame around the external perimeter of the shower only. However, all internal edges and doors are frameless. They are ideal if you are looking for a durable yet more subtle looking shower screen.
Frameless shower offer a sleek modern design without aluminium frames. Made from 10mm safety glass, the frameless shower screen is high on strength while elegant enough for the luxury bathroom.
