maia-900mm-round-led-mirror-motion-sensor-brushed-gold
Maia 900mm Round Framed LED Mirror with Motion Sensor - Brushed Gold, Anti-Fog Bathroom Mirror

The Maia 900mm Round Framed LED Mirror in Brushed Gold (MA-90RD-BG) is a motion sensor LED bathroom mirror that lights up as you walk in and switches itself off after you leave, so there is no switch to find with wet hands. It is 900mm in diameter and 45mm deep, with a slim metal frame finished in brushed gold, high-density COB LED lighting (608 LEDs per metre, CRI above 90) that adjusts from warm to cool, and an SAA certified demister pad that keeps the glass clear in a steamy bathroom.

The brushed gold frame brings warmth to a white or marble bathroom and pairs naturally with brushed gold or brass tapware and timber-look vanities. With the light set to its warm tone, the gold edge and the glow work together for a soft, hotel-style feel. The 5mm third-generation copper-free mirror is laminated with an explosion-proof safety film, the LED driver sits in an enclosed, flame-retardant box, and the open-back frame sits close to the wall on a triangular hanging plate. Mercio covers its LED mirrors with a 1 year product replacement warranty.

Hands-Free Light with a Built-In Motion Sensor

The motion sensor is what makes the Maia easy to live with. Walk into the bathroom and the light comes on by itself; leave, and it switches off about 60 seconds later. That means no fumbling for a switch at night, no wet fingerprints on a touch button, and no mirror left glowing all day after the kids have gone to school. The sensor reads movement within about 1.5 to 2 metres, which covers someone standing at the vanity without reacting to people walking past the doorway in most layouts. If you would rather switch the light manually, a long press on the demister button turns motion detection off, and the light and demister then switch off on their own after 1 hour.

A Statement Round Mirror for Larger Walls

A 900mm round mirror is built to be the focal point of the room. It suits vanities from 900mm to 1200mm and walls with a higher ceiling, where a smaller circle would look lost. Check the height from the top of the vanity or splashback to the ceiling before ordering, as you need at least 900mm of clear wall plus a gap above the tapware.

Key Features of the Maia Brushed Gold LED Mirror

Motion sensor lighting - detects movement at 1.5-2m, lights up as you walk in and turns off about 60 seconds after you leave

COB LED lighting - 608 LEDs per metre for even light, CRI above 90 for natural skin tones

Adjustable light - 2700K-6500K; tap to cycle warm, neutral and cool, with memory of the last setting

SAA certified demister pad - 400 x 400mm pad, switches off automatically after 1 hour

Copper-free safety mirror - 5mm glass laminated with explosion-proof safety film

Brushed Gold metal frame - open-back design that sits close to the wall

Enclosed driver - IP-rated, flame-retardant power box; 1.2m three-core cable, AC 90-265V

Maia MA-90RD-BG Specifications

Product code

MA-90RD-BG

Brand

Mercio

Series

Maia Framed LED Mirrors

Shape

Round

Size

900mm diameter x 45mm deep

Frame

Brushed Gold metal frame

Mirror

5mm copper-free mirror, laminated explosion-proof safety film

Lighting

COB LED, 608 LEDs/m, CRI >90, 36W

Colour temperature

2700K-6500K (warm / neutral / cool)

Controls

Touch panel for light, demister and motion sensor; light memory

Motion sensor

1.5-2m range, auto-off about 60 seconds after no movement

Anti-fog

SAA certified demister pad, 400 x 400mm, auto-off after 1 hour

Power

AC 90-265V, 1.2m three-core cable, external relay protection

Back

Open-back frame; enclosed IP-rated, flame-retardant driver box

Mounting

60 x 24mm triangular hanging plate, three-way quick connector

Warranty

1 year product replacement (Mercio LED mirror warranty)

Frequently Asked Questions About the Maia 900mm LED Mirror

What size vanity suits the Maia 900mm round LED mirror?

A 900mm round mirror suits a 900mm to 1200mm vanity. Allow at least 900mm of clear wall between the top of the splashback or tapware and the ceiling. As a guide, choose a mirror the same width as the vanity or a little narrower, and hang it so the centre sits roughly at eye level.

Do I need an electrician to install an LED mirror?

Yes. The mirror is supplied with a 1.2m cable for hardwiring, and connecting it to the mains must be done by a licensed electrician. Plan the power point position behind the mirror before tiling so the cable stays hidden.

How does the motion sensor work?

The sensor detects movement within about 1.5 to 2 metres, so the light comes on as you walk up to the Maia 900mm round LED mirror and switches off about 60 seconds after you leave. A long press of the demister button (3 seconds or more) turns motion detection on or off; with it off, the light and demister switch off automatically after 1 hour.

How does the anti-fog demister work?

An SAA certified heating pad (400 x 400mm) behind the glass warms the centre of the mirror so steam does not settle on it. It is switched from its own button and turns itself off after 1 hour.

Can I change the light colour?

Yes. A quick tap on the light button cycles through warm, neutral and cool light (2700K to 6500K), and the mirror remembers the last setting you used.

Will the mirror get black edges in a humid bathroom?

Black edges come from moisture reaching the silver layer of a mirror. This mirror uses 5mm copper-free glass, which resists that corrosion better than standard mirrors. Good ventilation and avoiding ammonia or acidic cleaners on the edges help it keep its finish.

What warranty comes with the Maia 900mm round LED mirror?

Mercio covers its LED mirrors with a 1 year product replacement warranty. Please inspect the mirror before installation and report any damage or defect in writing beforehand, as installation is taken as acceptance of the product.

Do you deliver to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth?

Yes. The Maia 900mm round LED mirror ships Australia-wide, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, with freight calculated at checkout. When the mirror is part of a larger order, free metro delivery applies over $2,000 to Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, over $2,500 to Brisbane and Adelaide, and over $3,200 to Perth. Regional addresses are quoted a discounted freight rate at checkout, and Sydney customers can pick up from our warehouse for free.

⚠️ Important Selection Advice: This LED mirror must be hardwired to the mains by a licensed electrician.
